Uniform Standards
Field Service
Cap
The cap is worn on the right side of the head, one inch
above the right ear and two finger breaths above the right eyebrow. The cap
badge is worn on the left side of the cap at 5cm from the front. (refer to
Handbook Picture p.22)
Name Tag
White plastic measuring 7.5cm by
2cm worn slightly above the left breast pocket. Only the name of Boy should be
engraved on it and nothing else. (refer to Handbook Picture p.22)
Appointment Holder
Boys may be appointed for the following appointments.
- Chief Leading Boy - Red lanyard is worn
- Leading Boy / Squad Leader - White lanyard is worn
- Assistant Leading Boy / Assistant Squad Leader - Blue lanyard is worn.
The lanyard is worn around the collar under it, secured by a
knot to prevent slipping. The end of the remaining length is affixed to the left
breast pocket button. (refer to Handbook Picture p.23)
The proper way of wearing the lanyard is as follows:
The lanyard is to be curved at the edge of the left pocket,
instead of hanging down near to the waist. At Brigade-level activities and
functions, only white lanyards are to be worn at all times.
Belt
This should be worn fairly tightly around the waist. The buckle
should be in the centre. (refer to Handbook Picture p.23)
Regulation Company Title Shoulder Flashes
These are sewn to the uniform shirt immediately below the
regulation shoulder flash on each arm. (refer to Handbook Pictures p.24)
Badge Armlet
These will be worn on the right arm above the elbow with the
colour badges pin onto it. (refer to Handbook Picture p.24)
Colour Badges
The badges should be worn in sequence as depicted in the
diagram below:
*The three service badges should be arranged as such: 3rd Year
(far left), 2nd Year (middle) and 1st (end).
If the Boy does not have all the badges, the badges should be
worn centralised on the armlet. Below are a few possible combinations:
